Connecting the Unconnected

Adults

Foundations Classes
This class is designed to be the first point of connection for those considering Sylvan Oaks as their church home, for a season or for a lifetime.  The first session, called Foundations 101, is a four-week class covering the doctrine of this church.  The second class, called Foundations 102, is a three-week class articulating the mission of this church and the role of her members.  These classes explore basic, biblical theology and how this teaching plays out philosophically and practically in the way we embody the gospel to the Sacramento Metroploitian area.

Educational Groups

Various groups are offered designed to provide education and support in many areas such as childrearing, marriage, finances, etc.   Annual events such as the Women's Retreat and the Revolve Tour for moms and daughters provide support and encouragement for women while F.A.S.T. (Father and Son Time), retreats and hiking trips provide a place for men to mentor and learn from each other.

Seniors
Sylvan's Seniors meet regularly for Bible Study, meals, trips and encouragement.   Contact the church office for a current schedule.

Celebrate Recovery

Every Friday night Celebrate Recovery meets for worship and teaching.  Various small groups happen during the week.  Come on Friday night and check things out.  This ministry is designed to help everyone who is carrying around "excess baggage" they would like to get rid of.  Find out how the God of Creation can heal all of your "hurts and hang-ups".
